Introduction

At "Kharayet Map" we respect and protect your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your data when you use the app. In short: the app requires no account, collects no personally identifying data, shows no ads, and does not track you.

Information we handle

• Location: with your permission, your device location is used to show nearby places, center the map, compute distances and the Qibla direction, and fetch your area's weather. We keep no history of your movements and never link your location to your identity. Approximate coordinates are sent to our secure proxy backend only at the moment you request nearby results or weather.
• Searches: your search text is sent through our secure proxy backend to a trusted global maps & places data provider to return results. It is not linked to any personal identifier.
• Smart summaries & insights: when you request an analysis, public review texts are processed by advanced AI technology to generate a smart summary. The summary is cached monthly on our server so it can serve all users without reprocessing. Content is informational and may contain errors.
• Community places (content you publish): if you choose to add a place, its name, description, optional phone number and coordinates are stored on our server and shown publicly to all users, as are your star ratings and comments on community places. Do not publish anything you would not want to be public.
• Weather reports: if you choose to report your local conditions (rain, dust, clear…), that condition and your coordinates are stored on our server, shown to everyone on the map, and deleted automatically within three hours.
• Anonymous device identifier: the app generates a random number on your device (no name, no email) to prevent duplicate ratings from the same device and to let your report be updated. It is never used for tracking, cannot be linked to you personally, and disappears when you delete the app.
• Weather & radar: coordinates of the area you are viewing are sent to trusted weather providers to fetch conditions and forecasts. Radar imagery is public and not linked to you.
• Hotel prices: when a hotel price is shown, the hotel's coordinates (not your data) are sent to a booking data provider. Booking itself happens on external platforms under their own policies.
• Notifications: rain alerts and the monthly reminder are local notifications scheduled on your device only. We operate no push server and send you nothing remotely.
• Saved places, your private ratings and search history: stored locally on your device only; never uploaded. Deleting the app removes them.
• Data saved for offline use: the app keeps the last weather, insights and search results you viewed on your device so they remain available without a connection. Entirely local.

User content and moderation

Community places and comments are published by other users and do not represent us. We apply automatic profanity filtering before publishing, provide a "Report" button on every place and comment, and content is hidden automatically once it is reported repeatedly. To request removal of content you published, or to report a violation, email us at the address below and we will respond promptly.

What we do not do

• No accounts; we never ask for your name, email, or personal phone number.
• We do not sell or share your data for marketing.
• No ads, no advertising trackers, and no behavioural analytics.
• We keep no location history and do not track your movements.

Third-party services

The app relies on trusted global services governed by their own privacy policies, including: a maps & places data provider, AI summarization technology, weather and rain-radar providers, a booking price provider, a prayer-times calculation source, and secure cloud hosting.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect data from children. Because it allows user-published content, we apply the filtering and reporting measures described above.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time and will post the updated version at this same URL with a revised date.
